Siberian Anthracite fulfils annual production plan ahead of schedule

On 9 December 2021, the collective of Siberian Anthracite JSC (the largest anthracite producer in Russia, part of the Sibanthracite Group) fulfilled the annual plan ahead of schedule, having produced 7.3 million t of anthracite.
One of the key factors that influenced the early fulfilment of the annual plan was the technical re-equipment carried out by the company with the transition to equipment of large unit capacity. The use of new high-performance equipment made it possible to accelerate the pace of stripping operations, to increase the shipment of rock mass to heavy-duty dump trucks, and to enter intensive modes of coal mining. In 2021, the company purchased 42 mining dump trucks with a lifting capacity of 220 – 240 t (28 units) and 130 t (14 units), five excavators with a bucket capacity of 12 m3, three bulldozers and two graders. The installation of a crushing and screening complex with a capacity of more than 2 million tpy has also begun.
The enterprise achieved high production indicators in compliance with the requirements of industrial safety and labour protection, in accordance with the design solutions for the stability of the sides, benches and slopes of the dumps. The planned production volume was met with an increased stripping ratio (relative to the project), thereby ensuring safe conditions for mining operations.
In its production activities, Sibanthracite Group pays special attention to the safety of its employees using the best available technologies and international practices. In 2021, automated production control was introduced for the examination of industrial safety of technical devices, buildings and structures. The company has an electronic dress-up system and an electronic system of medical examinations, production control is organised according to a checklist. At processing plants, vending machines are used to issue consumable personal protective equipment. Also, Siberian Anthracite JSC has introduced a unique LIFE LINE technology – laser illumination of the equipment operation area at night.
