Weir Minerals introduces the Cavex® 700CVX Hydrocyclone

Weir Minerals have released the Cavex® 700CVX hydrocyclone that can achieve up to 50% higher throughput capacity in comparison with any other competitor cyclones in the 26 inch diameter range. This superior capacity is due to its larger inlet and vortex finder configuration.

The Cavex® 700CVX hydrocyclone also provides a higher throughput than the Cavex® 650CVX hydrocyclone from Weir Minerals, in a smaller, more space efficient body, making it ideal for new installations. It is also suited and sized to fit into existing cyclone clusters for easy retrofitting to increase capacity.

Mark Lockyer, Weir Minerals Global Product Manager hydrocyclones, said:

“The need to increase throughput to maintain production levels is a reality for much of our industry, with many mines having to process more ore than they have in the past.

“In these conditions increasing throughput is essential. Sites that can achieve higher throughput with minimal capital expenditure certainly have a competitive advantage.
