Fauji Fertilizer’s coal-fired power plant now online

Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Ltd’s 118 MW coal-fired power plant has been inaugurated and is to provide electricity to K-Electric.
The plant will be able to use imported and indigenous coal and is one of the country’s early-harvest coal power plants.
Chief Executive and Managing Director Lt. Gen (Retd), Haroon Aslam, commented: “The most challenging task for the project team was to undertake it on a non-turnkey engineering procurement and construction contract approach.”
