Sandvik’s MR341 roadheader has been names Poland’s “Most Innovated Project” by a group of Polish mining and business authorities. The award was presented during the 2nd International Silesia Innovatica Congress 2014, which draws many attendees from coal producers, scientific institutions, technological universities and mining equipment manufacturers.
“This award affirms our core commitments in product development, which are always safety and productivity,” said Bruno Reumueller, product line manager of underground coal and minerals at Sandvik.
The MR241 was designed for the European coal industry and includes numerous safety features, such as a radio remote control for all machine functions and a larger working platform for installing roof support.
