Thousands of visitors in the mining industry will come together for Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX), to view the newest innovations, products and services in the market, taking place on 29 – 31 August 2017 at the Sydney Showground, Sydney, Australia.

This year, industry leading companies, including Kal Tire, Airbus Defence and Space, Global Pumps, Holden, Mobil Oil Australia, Herrenknecht, thyssenkrupp, REMA Tip Top, Voith and Brevini will on the exhibition floor.

Additionally, world leading manufacturer, BELAZ, will join more than 300 exhibitors on the exhibition floor at AIMEX.

As a leading manufacturer with over 60 years of history in mining dump trucks and equipment, the company’s decision to exhibit at AIMEX marks a significant development as BELAZ looks to re-establish its presence in the Australian market and build a stronger foundation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Manufacturing more than 145 000 vehicles annually for distribution across more than 30 countries, BELAZ products are well-known for their quality and operational reliability. Each vehicle is extensively tested in harsh and remote operational conditions to ensure it fulfils the needs of the end user.

AIMEX event director, Brandon Ward, said the welcome addition of BELAZ to the exhibitor line-up provides attendees the opportunity to explore an expanded variety of sector-leading manufacturers and suppliers.

“AIMEX is full of opportunities. For suppliers, AIMEX is an opportunity to discuss where mining equipment, technology and services is headed and for visitors, it’s a chance to meet with colleagues and discover new products and services entering the market,” Ward said.

Live demonstrations

Attendees will also have the opportunity to see live demonstrations across the event with National Wireless, Henkel, Nautitech, Tyre Chain Australia, INNOVA Global and Davies Wear Parts among the exhibitors taking part.

Designed to overcome common challenges within the mining industry, the products that will be showcased in the live demonstration programme are built to address the harsh and remote conditions, improve the safety of the site and address the common issues around connectivity and reliability.

Networking opportunities

As part of the event, AIMEX will also host an Industry Networking Event being held on Wednesday 30 August. Sponsored by METS Ignited, speakers presenting as part of The Future of Mining conference, exhibitors and visitors will have the opportunity to network with one another in an informal environment.

“The Industry Networking Event will provide new and old faces in the sector the opportunity to connect, share insights and discuss common challenges that they face within the mining sector,” Ward concluded.
