Solntsevsky Coal Mine LLC appoints Director

Previously, Oleg Ivanovich worked in the management company of the Eurocement Group holding, where he headed the mining department. Eurocement Group includes not only 16 factories throughout the country, but also a number of quarries for the extraction of nonmetallic materials.

Ivanovich has extensive experience related to the activities of mining companies. For eight years, he was Deputy Managing Director for Production, First Deputy Managing Director – Chief Engineer of JSC SUEK – Krasnoyarsk, Borodinsky opencast mine named after MI Shchadov, where coal production was up to 24 million tpy.

Oleg Cherskikh has been working in the coal industry since 1995. He went from leaching apparatus to the CEO of coal mining companies. He worked at the Kansky and Borodinsky opencast mines, as well as at the Krasnoyarsk coal company.

Cherskikh has not only extensive practical experience, but also possesses the most advanced scientific knowledge. He graduated from the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold with a degree in opencast mining. In 2015, he defended his Ph.D. thesis and received an academic degree: Candidate of Technical Sciences at the Magnitogorsk State Technical University. G.I. Nosov with a degree in Geotechnology (underground, opencast, construction).

Currently, the new director has already taken up his duties and is actively involved in the work of the mine. Cherskikh considers the first and main task at this stage to be the preservation of the achieved results and the creation of conditions for further production growth, improvement of technological processes. To achieve the company's leadership in the mining industry, it is equally important, in his opinion, to develop a production culture, to ensure safety and efficiency of labour. Ivanovich singles out as a separate point the organisation of work aimed at preserving nature and ensuring the environmental friendliness of production at the most modern level.
