Tests of the LIFE LINE technology have been successfully completed at JSC Siberian Anthracite, and a decision has been made to start using it.
Its essence is to make graders, loaders, bulldozers and other equipment more visible in the dark. A red spotlight is attached to the vehicle, which projects light in the form of bright lines around the perimeter of the vehicle. Thus, it becomes visible to other road users.
The author of the new technology is Danil Fakhretdinov, Head of the Labour Protection, Industrial Safety and Production Control Service of Siberian Anthracite JSC, who worked out the options for innovations that would help reduce the risk of emergency situations. According to Danil Fakhretdinov, he had the idea to highlight self-propelled vehicles for a long time, but he managed to realise it this year.
“In test mode, the spotlight was installed on one of the graders, which was running at industrial facilities. After his work at night and late in the evening, it was confirmed that he became more noticeable. A survey of employees also showed that they are happy with the innovation. The bright red light does not blind, but rather signals the presence of working equipment, which will have a positive effect on road safety,” said Fakhretdinov.
At the first stage, 192 vehicles will be illuminated by the ‘red lines’. In the future, the number of such equipment will increase.
