Jameson Resources Ltd. have released a Blackswan Equities research report covering the company’s recent statement of initial coal quality and washability results at their Crown Mountain metallurgical coal project in British Colombia, Canada.
The drilling programme initial results for the first of seven large diameter core holes have been confirmed by the report, in which coal washability numbers exceed expectations.
Jameson Resources completed a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Crown Mountain site in April 2013, and the company expects to formally commence a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) later this year.
“We believe the coal quality and washability data produced over the coming months will provide robust support for the variables used in the PFS. Additionally, baseline environmental studies are well advanced with the collection of two years of water quality data having started back in April 2012”, the Blackswan Equities report noted.
Blackswan sees Canadian coal production becoming significantly more competitive, as Western Canada moves towards becoming the premier jurisdiction for developing new coking coal mines.
