NRW Holdings Ltd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Golding Contractors Pty Ltd, has executed an agreement with Broadlea Coal Management Pty Ltd to extend the current mining services at the Broadlea Mine.
The award is valued at approximately AUS$130 million and continues the strong relationship between Golding and Broadlea where Golding has provided the contract mining services as well as mining specific opencast mines to supplement Fitzroy’s underground operations on two prior occasions. This contract extends the contract mining scope that Golding have been performing since October 2021.
The scope of work includes assuming the statutory responsibility for operation of the mine and maintaining and operating two fleets of equipment conducting both overburden removal and coal mining. The work will be performed with a mix of existing Golding equipment and hired.
This extends the mining services agreement to February 2024, with an option to further extend the agreement for another 12 months.
