Jennmar affiliate, Compliance Staffing Agency (CSA), the premier nationwide provider of workforce solutions for the energy industry, expanded its service offerings and expertise with the acquisition of TK Mining Services. Along with its purchase in November 2015 of Price Mine Services, CSA has assembled the assets, personnel, and presence to offer unparalleled service offering and pricing in the Western US. CSA has brought over key management from TK Mining and anticipates that the acquisition will result in growth opportunities throughout the Western US.

CSA has brought over key management from TK Mining and anticipates that the acquisition will result in growth opportunities throughout the Western U.S. “With the recent upward trend we have seen in the mining industry, we saw an immediate need to bolster our offerings to better serve our clients. TK Mining was an excellent fit and the integration of the two companies will allow us to proceed at a rapid pace,” said Steve West, President of CSA West. “While this acquisition is beneficial to CSA, it is even more beneficial to our clients. We quickly realised that TK Mining has some unique and untapped strengths that could be fully unlocked by CSA’s management strength and robustness.” TK Mining Services has operated out of Delta, Colorado since 2004. The company has had past operations in 14 states and 4 countries. David Schaaf, founder and CEO of TK Mining, will be transitioning to CSA as part of the sale and will be focusing on developing and performing project-based mining work for the new TK Mining and Specialty Services division of CSA.

“I am very proud of the management and leadership team we have assembled at TK Mining and the positive internal changes we have seen in the last few years. Being able to work together with CSA will allow us to execute on an ambitious growth plan going forward,” says David Schaaf. “I am most proud that for the last 13 years, TK Mining has been able to provide high-paying employment for so many miners, particularly miners from the North Fork. I am incredibly optimistic that this acquisition will allow us to provide jobs to even more people during these challenging times in Delta County.”

In the immediate future, TK Mining and Specialty Services will operate as a stand-alone division of CSA, but over time will be fully integrated as a unified business unit. Collaboration between CSA (including other JENNMAR affiliates) and TK Mining will start right away.

“While all acquisitions and transitions present their own challenges, I am very excited for the opportunities created by this purchase. Our customers should begin seeing the benefits of this purchase almost right away,” said West.
