Stanmore Resources appoint Chief Financial Officer

The Board of Stanmore Resources Ltd has announced the appointment of Shane Young as Chief Financial Officer, scheduled to commence by 13 September 2021 following the previously announced resignation of Frederick Kotzee.
Young is a chartered accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, and was until recently the General Manager Finance for PanAust, a Brisbane-based copper and gold producer with operations in Laos and projects in Papau New Guinea, Myanmar, and Chile.
He started his career in audit at KPMG and has had various accounting and finance roles, including with Shell and Rio Tinto. Before joining PanAust, he spent over 10 years working with Peabody in various roles, including Treasurer for Peabody Australia and senior roles in Corporate Development, Commercial, Operations Planning, and Financial Reporting and Accounting.
Ian Peters, Financial Controller, will act as Chief Financial Officer during any eventual short period between Kotzee’s departure and Young’s start date.
