Zanrunix Highveld Collieries has joined the Bettercoal Assessment Process and started its journey towards becoming a Bettercoal Producer by signing its Letter of Commitment.
By signing the letter, the company has committed to the Bettercoal Code and intends to undergo independent assessment of its mines in South Africa.
Zanrunix operates one mine in South Africa – the Highveld Collieries located in the Magisterial District of Emalahleni in the Mpumalanga Province. The company was founded in 2014 and currently employs approximately 100 people at its site.
According to Bettercoal’s assurance system, Zanrunix will become a ‘Bettercoal Producer’ once the site assessment has been completed and the Continuous Improvement Plan has been agreed.
