TerraCom Ltd, an emerging resources company with a large portfolio of operating assets in Australia and South Africa, has provided its operational results for August 2021.
Blair Athol results
During August 2021, Blair Athol (BA) sold two cargoes, in line with forecast. With the sustained reduction in its Free on Board operating cost base, from the restructure to owner operator, BA is in a positive position to capitalise on the seaborne coal pricing, which is forecast to remain strong.
South Africa results
Operational improvements delivered over the last number of months continue to positively impact the performance and results from the South African (SA) operations. All three SA operating mines are well positioned and exceeded contracted offtake quantities to Eskom for August 2021.
Export sales for SA were 86 000 t for the month, an increase of approximately 28% from export sales recorded for July 2021, a good result given the ongoing challenges with logistics constraints.
Year to date operational results
Year to date managed coal sales represent 10 million tpy.
