The Bluefield coal show set to commence

Michael Carey, Vice President, Government Relations, for Murray Energy, will open the Bluefield Coal Show on Wednesday, 16 September at the Brushfork Armory-Civic Center, West Virginia, US. The Media Appreciation Breakfast is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 at 8:30 a.m. at the Bluefield Coal Show.

Carey will address the exhibitors, dignitaries, governmental officials, media and Chamber members about the future of the coal industry. Following his remarks, the ribbon-cutting ceremony and official show opening will take place in front of 230 exhibitors and the attendees.

The biennial Bluefield Coal Show, sponsored by the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce, is the largest regional coal show in the country with 230 exhibitors from 32 states and several international countries.

The show will also feature a series of papers/presentations on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, two nights of entertainment and a golf tournament for CEDAR. Bluefield State College will be in charge of the general registration. The Show is supported by over a hundred of volunteers from different organisations and companies within the area.
