Hexagon Mining has launched its vision of “smart change” in the mining industry at Mining Indaba, in Cape Town, South Africa.
Hexagon Mining combines the technologies of MineSight, Devex Mining, Leica Geosystems Mining and SAFEmine, to link mine planning, design, fleet and production management, optimisation, fatigue monitoring and collision avoidance systems for a comprehensive flow of data across all operations.
“Hexagon Mining offers a smarter way to mine,” said Hexagon President and CEO, Ola Rollén. “Productive mines recognise that technology is essential to their success. Companies will need to be smarter, safer and quicker to respond to change. Their future depends on it.”

Its brands offer solutions for modeling and mine planning (MineSight), underground fleet and production management (Devex Mining), opencast fleet and production optimisation (Leica Geosystems Mining) and collision avoidance and fatigue monitoring (SAFEmine).
