American Electric Power seeks bids for coal supply

American Electric Power is seeking offers for the supply of coal to one or more of its generating stations. AEP is seeking delivery proposals for:

  • Up to 290 000 short t of NYMEX coal, FOB barge, beginning in October 2017 and ending in December 2017.
  • Up to 1.375 million short t of NYMEX coal, FOB barge, beginning in January 2018 and ending in December 2018.
  • Up to 500 000 short t of CSX rail coal, beginning in January 2018 and ending in December 2018.
  • Up to 1 million short t of Powder River Basin coal, FOB rail (joint-line served), beginning in October 2017 and ending in December 2017.
  • Up to 3.3 million short t of Powder River Basin coal, FOB rail (joint-line served), beginning in January 2018 and ending in December 2018.
  • Up to 1 million short t of Illinois Basin coal, FOB barge, beginning in January 2018 and ending in December 2018. AEP is open to alternative pricing structures or other innovative, value-added concepts. Proposals with alternative terms will be accepted. Accepted bids will be at AEP's discretion.
