ACCCE welcomes Trump victory

The ACCCE welcomed Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election, calling it an opportunity to “turn away from costly regulations”.
“Americans across the country made it abundantly clear that they are tired of the status quo,” said Mike Duncan, President and CEO of the ACCCE. “They are tired of Washington’s disconnect from the rest of the country and they are tired of struggling to make ends meet.”
The US now had an opportunity to “turn away from costly regulations” Duncan continued. In his campaign, Trump had promised to roll back federal regulation of the coal and energy sectors, as well as return jobs to the coal industry.
“We look forward to working with President-elect Donald Trump as he steps forward to lead,” concluded Duncan.
