DOE selects carbon capture projects for funding
The US Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Energy Laboratory (NETL) has selected 16 projects to receive funding through its Carbon Capture Program.
The program provides funding to develop and test carbon capture systems for new and existing coal-fired power plants.
The projects to receive funding fall under five subtopic areas: laboratory-scale post-combustion capture; laboratory-scale pre-combustion capture; bench-scale post-combustion capture; bench-scale pre-combustion capture; and biological carbon dioxide use or conversion.
