World Coal,
The transition to digital production management has delivered the first results: in June, the average productivity of coal mining increased by 10%. During the recent 'Day of Increased Productivity', when the control centre worked during the day and on the night shift, the Solntsevsky coal mine team reached a record daily production rate of rock mass – 470 000 t. In the future, the centre is planned to be transferred to a round-the-clock mode of operation.
This allows operators to quickly identify malfunctions in equipment (including fuel systems), reduce fuel consumption and time, and increase the average technical speed of dump trucks. Digitisation also speeds up the workflow without putting employees at risk.
“There is more team interaction between different services: dispatchers, drivers, shift supervisors, etc. In addition, employees begin to form a new habit aimed at achieving results and improving the safety culture,” said Sergey Nazaryan, Deputy General Director for Operational Efficiency of the Supreme Command.
In May, the Solntsevsky coal mine switched to digital production management. This made it possible to quickly identify malfunctions in equipment (including fuel systems), reduce fuel consumption and time, and increase the average technical speed of dump trucks.
