Leadership appointments at South32

South32 Chief Executive Officer, Graham Kerr, has announced two new appointments to the South32 Lead Team.
The company has created the roles of Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to reflect the direction of South32 and the importance it places on its people, the communities in which it operates, the environment and its customers. Rowena Smith has been appointed to the role of Chief Sustainability Officer, responsible for Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability and Security. Rowena has been with South32 since March 2015, in the position of Vice President Supply, Australia Region. During her extensive career in the mining and minerals processing industry, Rowena has held senior roles in operations, corporate and marketing. Peter Finnimore has been appointed to the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Peter has been the Head of Marketing for South32 since May 2015. Based in Singapore, Peter has over 25 years of global experience in logistics and marketing and has worked in Japan, Australia, Russia, Cyprus and Switzerland. These appointments will be effective 1 September 2017.
