Kazakhstan is important to FAMUR’s plans for international expansion.
For several decades, the Group has been providing solutions for the Kazakh mining industry, including but not limited to machines, equipment and monitoring systems. Over 700 powered roof supports supplied by the FAMUR Group companies as well as armoured face conveyors, beam stage loaders and PIOMA rail transportation systems are currently being operated in Kazakhstan.
The supply of the longwall system to the Tentekskaya mine has been another order implemented by FAMUR for JSC ArcelorMittal Temirtau in recent years.
Over the past 25 years, Kazakhstan has undergone a major economic transformation, as a result of which, today, it is one of the most promising markets for our company. We regularly participate in the most important mining fairs in this country; we are also involved in the development of the bilateral economic cooperation as part of the Polish-Kazakh Economic Forum. Another contract concluded with JSC ArcelorMittal Temirtau proves that we are perceived as a reliable partner and our technological solutions are successful in Kazakh mines" said Miroslaw Bendzera, CEO of FAMUR S.A.
"A consistently increasing involvement of the companies belonging to our Group in Kazakhstan enables us to implement the Go Global international expansion programme and to meet its sales objectives. It also allows us to acquire new skills resulting in strengthening the position of FAMUR on the international market of suppliers of machines and services for the mining industry",added Miroslaw Bender.
FAMUR Kazakhstan has been operating in Karaganda since 2013. It focuses on providing service support and after-sales services on the local market. As a result, FAMUR’s offer includes not only technical support, but also assistance in the assembly/installation, commissioning and setting optimum performance parameters of new machines. The company has also opened a repair centre in Kazakhstan.
A wide range of products, individual approach to sales and after-sales operations and our own company allow us to provide comprehensive services to our Kazakh partners. I am convinced that thanks to our offer as well as knowledge and experience, the FAMUR Group will be an important partner in the implementation of the ambitious plan regarding the development of Kazakhstan by 2050, announced by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev," emphasised Miroslaw Bendzera.
The target model for the FAMUR’s presence on foreign markets includes the provision of complete mining systems and the comprehensive implementation of investment projects. Currently, we are completing the consolidation process of the mining services industry in Poland, consisting in the integration of the potential of FAMUR and Kopex Groups. Our aim is to create the leading company in Poland, offering a wide range of machines, equipment and services. I believe that the combination of knowledge, experience and resources of FAMUR and Kopex will allow us to implement investment projects in a comprehensive manner in Kazakhstan as well" said Miroslaw Bendzera, CEO.
