World Coal,
Stephen Bizzaca has notified his intention to retire as Managing Director of Delta SBD Ltd and has accepted the position of Non Executive Director, effective 1 September 2016. As from that date, Neville McAlary will assume the position of Managing Director in addition to that of his existing role as Chief Executive Officer.
As Bizzaca will no longer hold an executive management position, he will replace Geoff Garside as Chairman of both the Remuneration and Risk Committees and also become a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee.
Bizzaca commented: “I have enjoyed my time as CEO and Managing Director of the company through very challenging periods, but I am pleased to be stepping into the role of Non Executive Director. The company is in a good position to take advantage of any upturn in the coal mining industry with Neville now in the role of CEO and Managing Director, and I will be pleased to offer my continued support to both Neville and the Board in carrying our their duties to the company and shareholders.”
Chairman, Glyn Dawkins, thanked Bizzaca for his significant contribution as CEO and Managing Director and acknowledged that the company had benefited greatly under his direction since the inauguration of Delta SBD through to the present.
