Deloitte Consulting appoints new national mining leader

Deloitte Consulting has selected David Cormack to lead its mining sector practice. As the national mining leader, Cormack will be based in Perth, Australia.

Deloitte National Mining Leader – West, and Corporate Finance partner, Nicki Ivory, explained: “Our mining clients, across the big end, mid-caps and juniors, are all focused on managing costs and driving productivity improvements in a low commodity price environment … David will lead our consulting team to deliver projects that combine all of our areas of expertise across strategy and operations, human capital, and change management, delivered through the latest in technology and analytics.”

Following four years in senior executive roles with specialist global advisory firms, leading mining technical experts (such as geologists, mining engineers, investment analysts, processing engineers and information technology teams), David returns as a partner of Deloitte.
