MINExpo 2016: Joy Global rolls out JoySmart Solutions

Joy Global rolled out its JoySmart Solutions at MINExpo 2016 in Las Vegas, integrating JoySmart’s customisable service, technology and equipment offerings throughout its booth.
JoySmart Solutions integrate Joy Global’s connected products and systems, advanced analytics and direct services to help solve client challenges.
Connected products deliver data to JoySmart experts, who partner with customers through Joy Global’s direct service network, the company explained. The analytics produced deliver information on machine health and performance, providing direction for the mine operation to help anticipate services needs and optimise machine performance.
For example, in Australia, JoySmart has been integral to the Longwall Mine of the Future project between Joy Global and Anglo American Coal, which is aiming to boost coal production at Anglo American’s longwall mines.
“Reducing or eliminating unplanned downtime using predictive analytics and automated processes is essential to running a lean operation capable of adapting to today’s marketplace,” said Joy Global President and CEO, Ted Doheny.
“Employing advanced analytics and technology, smart connected machines and direct service support, JoySmart Solutions are tailored to each customers specific challenges to deliver the highest production, lowest cost per tonne and zero harm.”
