FAMUR S.A. has won a tender for delivery of powered roof support shields with relevant equipment for Jastrzebska Spólka Weglowa S.A. (JSW S.A.). The value of the successful offer is PLN 85 million net.
The tender concerned 102 line shields and eight end shields of powered roof support. The machines offered are intended to operate in KWK ‘Borynia-Zofiówka-Jastrzebie’ Ruch ‘Zofiówka’, owned by Jastrzebska Spólka Weglowa.
The expected delivery completion date is July this year.
This is yet another FAMUR’s offer selected by JSW S.A. – the largest manufacturer of high quality coking coal and a significant producer of coke in the European Union.
Last year, the FAMUR Group delivered 137 powered roof support shields to ‘Knurów-Szczyglowice’ mine. In June 2017, a letter of intent was signed by FAMUR, Jastrzebska Spólka Weglowa and ADVICOM, regarding co-operation within carrying out tasks related to the implementation of proactive machine maintenance. And in April last year, FAMUR PEMUG Sp. z o. o. concluded a contract with JSW S.A. for extension and modernisation of the coal processing plant for ‘Budryk’ KWK mine (the contract is currently under way).
