World Coal,
Sandvik is once again selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Only the top 10% most sustainable companies in each respective industry are included.
“We further improved our performance and achieved a percentile ranking of 98, meaning we perform better than 98% of the other assessed companies. This is a great achievement. Being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and strengthening our sustainability efforts every year, shows our customers that we are a responsible supplier to them”, commented Christina Båge-Friborg, Head of Sustainable Business.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) was launched in 1999. It assesses the world’s 2500 largest companies and is one of the most respected independent sustainability ranking indices in the world. The DJSI assessment is extensive and includes a detailed analysis on management practices and performance measures within areas such as corporate governance, risk management, anticorruption, innovation, climate change mitigation, sustainable supplier management and labour practices.
