VIDEO: Are you ready for bauma 2016?

With now just two years to go until the world’s largest trade show kicks off once again, preparations at bauma are well underway.

Organisers have launched a new logo and subtitle ahead of the 2016 event, which will take place from April 11 – 17, 2016 in Munich, Germany.

The show will be known as the ‘31st Edition of the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment’. Yet, this is just part of the trade show’s rebrand. The 2016 show will also claim to be “The heartbeat of our industry.” According to organisers, this claim will emphasise the role of bauma as a key industry platform and pacemaker for innovations, as exhibitors time their development cycles to coincide with the showcase.

bauma 2016 will also vaunt a new key logo. The familiar yellow ‘b’ has been maintained and expanded to visualise the four sections at bauma: "All Around Construction Sites"; "Mining, Extraction and Processing of Raw Materials"; "Production of Building Materials"; and "Component and Service Suppliers".

With exhibitors now able to submit applications online to take part in the show, it’s time to ask yourself one key question: Are you ready?

The last bauma, which took place just over a year ago in April 2013, set new records for both exhibitor and visitor numbers, as well as total exhibition space. Almost 3500 exhibitors from 57 countries, and over 535 000 visitors from 200 countries, converged on the 575 000 m2 of exhibition space. As the latest movie trailer for the trade show explains, it truly is “time for records”.
