Tiaro Coal makes progress with coal project

World Coal,

Tiaro Coal continues to progress plans to develop the metallurgical-PCI coal mine in Queensland, Australia, with the company’s T9 West project prefeasibility study now at the mine planning and economic analysis stage.

Tiaro is now raising funds through a share purchase plan to help it continue development of the coal project.

Following execution of the share purchase plan, progress is expected to continue for the T9 West exploration activities, while also providing working capital.

Data from two recent exploration programmes have been interpreted and inputted into an updated geological model.

These consist of four open holes and one core hole as well as three large diameter drill holes that have confirmed metallurgical coal properties for seams in the upper target sequence.

Xenith Consulting, who previously completed a review of the T9 West Area and prepared an Initial Mine Plan, will undertake these sections of the PFS.

The exploration programmes have tested coal quality and resource extension as part of a pre-feasibility study for the company’s key coal project.

Tiaro said the results from the programmes were “highly encouraging”.
