With an eventual return to sustained increased demand and higher costs for diesel fuel, tyres and inherent ancillary road preparation, truck operation and maintenance costs, several high-production, low-cost coal mining operations worldwide see in-pit crushing and conveying systems as a feasible and attractive way to remove overburden.
