Aurizon increases coal haulage in 2014 despite weaker commodity prices
Australian rail freight company, Aurizon, has reported increased haulage of coal in the Australian 2013/14 financial year.
The increased coal haulage comes in spite of a continued slump in coal prices.
Aurizon shifted 210.4 million t of coal in the year to 30 June 2014 – an increase of 9% from the previous year.
The company said the increase in coal haulage was in line within its forecasted figures.
