Equipment provider receives ISO certification
McLanahan Corporation’s location in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, has received certification in the ISO 9001:2008 Management System for the design, manufacture and service of equipment for the mineral, aggregate, agricultural and industrial industries.
The official registration audit was completed by SRI Quality System Registrar in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in October last year, and the company received its official certification in December.
Executive vice president, Sean McLanahan, commented: “We are proud of the effort our employees have put in to helping McLanahan achieve its ISO certification. Not only does it help improve our process internally, but it proves to our customers that we are dedicated to providing them with the highest quality products and services”.
ISO 9001:2008 is a process-based certification recognising organisations that can link business objectives with operating effectiveness. To receive this certification, McLanahan demonstrated the following:
- Effective implementation of documentation and records management
- Top management commitment to customers
- Establishment of clear policies
- Good planning and implementation
- Excellent resource management
- Efficient process control, measurement and analysis.
McLanahan has also established continual improvement efforts. The company plans to continue its ISO certification efforts, by implementing similar process and procedures at its other locations.
