Centralia FCR plant celebrates first anniversary

The Coalview Centralia fine coal recovery (FCR) plant is celebrating a year since commissioning, according to a company press release. The plant now operates 24 hr a day, seven days a week.

“We are placed with the progress our team has made at the Centralia FCR plant,” said Roger Fish, CEO of Coalview. “Coalview Centralia is a well-managed project. The plant construction was finished on time and on budget. In spite of several obstacles, we encountered we were able to achieve high efficiency along with high availability that is significantly better that industry standard.”

The Coalview Centrala represents a US$42 million investment by the company. Upon completion of the material processing, a large-scale environmental programme will commence allowing the post-mining land use to include upland and lowland forest, pastureland and industrial land.

“Coalview is actively working with both domestic and global companies on future collaborative projects,” said David Schwedel, Coalview’s Executive Director and Lead Investor. “We have been actively making investments to further our ability to make carbon products that could become more valuable as well as environmentally neutral.”

Coalview specialises in the application of technologies that allow for the removal and processing of waste material.
