Cargotec receives order for ship unloader
Cargotec has received an order from CITIC Heavy Industries (CITIC) for a Siwertell rail-travelling ship unloader to handle coal at a new cement plant in Myanmar. The ST-640 M unloader will handling coal from barges at a rate of 800 tph.
The new plant is being built by CITIC and Maylamyine Cement (MCL), a subsidiary of Thailand’s Siam Cement Group. When completed, it will be able to produce 5000 tpa of cement.
The ship unloader will be the first delivery by Cargotec to Myanmar. Delivery is scheduled for mid-2015 and will include an enclosed discharge arrangement for transferring coal to the jetty conveyor. The unloader will be delivered in pre-assembled parts, with final assembly, testing and commissioning taking place onsite at Mawlamyine.
