Jameson Resources, developer of metallurgical coal projects in British Columbia, Canada, has received a tax credit of l almost CAN$0.13 million on the back of work done on the Dunlevy coal project.

The British Columbia Mineral Exploration Tax Credit (BCMETC) provides a 30% credit against certain exploration-related expenses. The BCMETC for the Dunlevy project covers work performed in the 2015 financial year.

Jameson has also submitted a refund application for its exploration expenditures on the Crown Mountain coal project. This application remains under audit.

The credit will be used to accelerate development at Crown Mountain, as the company seeks to take advantage of the recent surge in metallurgical coal prices.
