Cardero Resource Group has announced a maiden NI 43-101 resource estimate of 290 million t of measured and indicated and 161 million t of inferred resources at its Carbon Creek metallurgical coal project. Cardero holds a 75% joint venture interest in the Carbon Creek project, which is located in Canada’s Peace River Coalfield.
The measured and indicated resource has been further classified as having 191 million t of “surface” and 99 million t of “underground” resource. The coal was classified as mostly hard coking coal (63% of the measured and indicated and 85% of the inferred resource).
The resource estimate was prepared as part of a NI 43-101 technical report prepared by Norwest Corp.
