Hume Coal has lodged its Response to Submissions report with the New South Wales Government’s Department of Planning and Environment.
The lodgement of this document by Hume Coal is the next step in the NSW Planning Process for State Significant Developments.
Hume Coal Project Director Greig Duncan said the document was a culmination of supplementary modelling and reports, which addressed the matters raised by the community, regulators and government agencies during the exhibition of the Environmental Impact Statement.
“The work undertaken over the past 12 months further reinforces the low risk and low impact design of the proposed underground coal mine.”
The State Government’s independent planning process underpins successful development in NSW and Duncan emphasised the company’s gratitude to all those who took the time to lodge a submission during the exhibition of the Environmental Impact Statement.
