Peabody makes new appointment

Paul Richard has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Peabody.
"Paul is a skilled executive who brings a wealth of experience leading global human resources teams," said Glenn Kellow, Peabody President and CEO. "He will have executive responsibility for Peabody's global human resources and administrative functions to ensure the organisation has the people, skills, capabilities and systems to successfully execute its mission and strategy in alignment with the Peabody values. Paul will be a great addition as a strong leader and insightful strategic thinker."
Richard has more than 30 years of human resources experience and has been instrumental in leading his previous organisations to achieve Great Place to Work and Top Training Organisation designations. He spent nearly 15 years as Vice President – Human Resources for Shaw Industries Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. He also served as a human resources leader for 19 years at Ferro Corporation, a global supplier of technology-based manufacturing, including four years as Vice President – Human Resources.
