SUEK produces 28.4 million t of coal in 1Q17

SUEK has reported that in January – March 2017, the company produced 28.4 million t of coal. The decline in production was 1% in comparison with the same period of time last year.
In 1Q17 total sales volumes increased by 1% compared with the previous year and amounted to 29 million t of coal.
The volume of international sales increased by 12% and amounted to 13 million t of coal. The main directions of international supplies are Japan, South Korea, China, the Netherlands, Taiwan, India, Germany, Italy, Poland and Morocco.
The decrease in domestic sales was 7%. Russian consumers were sold 16.0 million t of coal, 12.3 million t of which were supplied to power generation companies.
