Sumitomo to sell stake in Rolleston coal mine to Glencore

Sumitomo Corp. has been engaged in thermal coal mining at the Rolleston coal mine in Queensland, Australia, together with Glencore.
On 9 August 2021, a sale agreement was signed between a Sumitomo Corp. subsidiary holding Rolleston interests and a Glencore subsidiary wherein the two companies agreed on the Sumitomo Corp. subsidiary selling its entire stake (12.5%) in Rolleston interests to the Glencore subsidiary.
The sale will be completed after the conditions of the sale agreement have been satisfied.
