Cemtrex to develop a coal mine methane project at South American coal mine
Cemtrex Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement with a South American coal mine company to develop, supply and construct a coal mine methane (CMM) project to create carbon credits. This CMM project will be developed under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change's Clean Development Mechanism, and will generate over 100,000 carbon credits/year.
'This CMM project will capture and destroy over 97% of all methane emissions from the coal mines by utilising various cost-effective technologies,' said Arun Govil, CEO and president of Cemtrex. 'We anticipate this project to be operational by the end of 2010.'
