Mine Site Technologies USA (MST) has added Pillar Innovations, a leader in mine support services, as the newest channel partner covering the US, reflecting the company’s focus on growing business in the US.
Working together to gain and expand US business
“The addition of a channel partner like Pillar Innovations gives us the assurance of revenue growth and additional brand name recognition at key customers in the mining industry” said Jeff Disbrow, vice president of sales and marketing for Mine Site Technologies.
Channel partners have a strategic relationship with Mine Site Technologies to sell and service its products, allowing MST to focus on product development. “While Mine Site Technologies initially manufactured their products and went direct to market with them, the addition of Pillar Innovations as a channel partner allows it to focus on the development of new products and leverage the sales and service infrastructure we have in place in the US. Mine Site Technologies will still be available directly for existing accounts but will work with us to gain and expand business,” Adam Benneman, director of sales & marketing for Pillar Innovations, told World Coal.
Mine Site Technologies products “a perfect fit” for Pillar
“MST’s wireless products are a perfect fit for Pillar Innovations,” continued Brenneman. “We have extensive experience in underground, fiber optic based, control and automation systems. The addition of [Mine Site Technologies’s] ImPact system gives our existing customers wireless options that were not previously possible. Additionally, our automation and monitoring experience will allow us to help Mine Site Technologies customers more fully utilise the capabilities of their Impact systems.”
The Mine Site Technologies ImPact system is a fiber optic based WiFi system that offers MSHA-approved voice and text communicatio,n as well as miner and asset tracking on one network. In addition to MINERAct required communications and tracking, the ImPact system offers users:
- Internet access
- E-mail access
- Video
- Data collection
- SCADA Integration.
