Evonik Power Minerals completes purchase
Evonik Power Minerals GmbH has announced the completion of the purchase of the remaining shares in Hargreaves Coal Combustion Products Ltd, which now gives Evonik Power Minerals 100% ownership of the company. The company will be renamed Power Minerals Ltd.
Hargreaves Coal Combustion Products Ltd was formed in May 2003, and in 2009 became a joint venture company with Evonik Power Minerals GmbH. It offers ash management, sales and marketing services to the coal-fired power generation industry.
At the moment, the company has ash sales agency and management arrangements in place at eight UK coal-fired power plants and is well placed to service all of the UK with its product.
Hargreaves Coal Combustion Products Ltd has its main office at Drax Power Station, employs ten people and had a turnover of £6 million in 2009.
