A gallery was commissioned at Kola MMC (part of the Norilsk Nickel group of companies), which transports crushed coal (reducing agent) from the reductant preparation site to the kiln department of the refining plant.

In the KGMK process chain, crushed coal is used to reduce the nickel oxide of fluidised bed furnaces in tube furnaces of reactors to produce nickel powder of tube furnaces (NPTP).

Until recently, coal was delivered to the burning department of a raftsekh by road. The commissioning of the gallery with a conveyor will increase the reliability of the logistic scheme and will reduce financial costs. By refusing coal transportation by road, the company will be able to save more than 12 million rubles on this annually.
