The Board of Directors of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE) has named Michelle Bloodworth as the organisation’s new President and CEO.

ACCCE issued the following statement from Gary Smith, President & CEO of PowerSouth Energy Cooperative and Chairman of the Board of Directors for ACCCE.

“We are very pleased that Michelle will be serving as the organisation’s CEO. She has done an impressive job in her time with the organisation, and I am confident she will continue to do so as the new CEO. I’d also like to thank Paul Bailey for his service as President and CEO. We owe ACCCE’s accomplishments over the past several years to his leadership and will remain with ACCCE to serve as President Emeritus of ACCCE and continue working with Michelle.”

Bloodworth assumes her new role within ACCCE after having served as the Chief Operating Officer for the organisation over the past year and a half. Before coming to ACCCE, Bloodworth served as Executive Director of External Affairs for the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO); Vice President of Business Development and State Affairs for America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA); and Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Communications for Energen/Alabama Gas Corp. She began her career as a power plant engineer.
