New Board Member for Foresight Energy

Foresight Energy LP, a Delaware limited partnership, has appointed Paul H. Vining as a new member of the Board of Directors of its general partner.

This follows John F. Dickenson electing to resign from the Board for personal reasons.

“We have appreciated John’s contribution to our Board and wish him well in the future and are pleased to have Paul join our Board of Directors,” commented Chris Cline, Foresight’s Founder and Chairman of the Board. “Paul brings to our board extensive experience in the coal industry. I look forward to working with him in the years to come.”

Vining is currently the CEO of Cline Group LLC, as well as President of Foresight Reserves LP and CEO of Cutlass Collieries LLC, the international development arm of the Cline Group. He holds over 35 years of experience in the coal business and his prior experience includes President of Alpha Natural Resources, CEO of White Oak Resources LLC, President and Chief Operating Officer of St. Louis-based Patriot Coal Corp, CEO of Magnum Coal Co., leading executive sales and trading positions for both Arch Coal and Peabody Energy, and key sales and commercial roles at AGIPCOAL USA, Island Creek Coal Co. and A. T. Massey Coal Co.

Foresight Energy is a leading producer and marketer of thermal coal with over 3 billion short t of coal reserves in the Illinois Basin, US.
