World Coal,

Realm Resources has appointed Michael Rosengren to the position of Managing Director.

Rosengren will commence his duties on 8 January 2018 and will become a member of the Realm Board at that time. Rosengren will be based in Brisbane, Australia.

In announcing the appointment, Realm’s Chairman, Gordon Galt, said: “Our new Managing Director has substantial experience in coal and metalliferous operations in Australia and internationally, and a strong background in contracting in Australia. He is especially knowledgeable about the Bowen Basin, where Realm operates the Foxleigh Mine through its subsidiary company, Middlemount South Pty Ltd, so is well placed to identify and pursue growth opportunities in that region. We look forward to his commencement in January and his ongoing contributions to Realm’s future success.”

Peter Briggs will step down from his role as acting CEO of Realm when Rosengren commences, and all personnel and functions which currently report to Briggs will report directly to Rosengren from that date.

The board has acknowledged and thanked Briggs for his commitment to the company following the departure of Glen Lewis on health grounds in August 2017.
