RPM gives industry icon a facelift

World Coal,

RungePincockMinarco (RPM) has launched the latest version of an industry icon, with focus on the user experience.  TALPAC 11 has a new look and feel, as well as a host of other new additions.

Adam Price, Product Manager – Simulation, said: “TALPAC is one of our most well-known and widely used software products in mining and has become an industry icon. We are committed to preserving the reputation and incredible value of this product as THE independent truck and loading analysis tool.

“TALPAC has been the market leader for over 30 years. It is used at 100s of mine sites around the globe and is the trusted application when it comes to productivity simulations. This year sees the biggest update to TALPAC in sometime with a completely new user interface”.

RPM has focused on the usability of TALPAC and brought it right up to date with a shiny new coat of paint.

“TALPAC has a complete new look and feel with much clearer navigation delivered through a much more modern UI than those familiar with the product have experienced before. Users will welcome the changes to the interface and the early response from our beta testers has been incredibly positive”.

The delivery of a new user interface hasn’t meant a compromise on the capabilities that TALPAC has always delivered and new features have also been included in this release.

“In TALPAC 11 we have added support for a range of new equipment requirements, we now support high gear and low gear, we now cater for equipment utilising trolley assist and there is also the addition of multiple rimpull and retard curves. Also important is the improved integration with the latest generation of RPM’s equipment library, the largest independent database of it is kind. This new release sees an update to this equipment database with over 50 new entries, ensuring the equipment information being used is up to date with the latest information from the OEM’s.

“TALPAC has been used for decades to help mine planners work out the ideal size of their fleet and decipher which pieces of equipment are most compatible. The new UI makes this even easier than before and the new features expand its capibility to make it an even more valuable tool to any mine site with a truck and loader fleet”.

RPM continues its commitment to a trusted industry icon with the TALPAC 11 being delivered to clients in the coming days.
