Progression releases Gen 2 CCA coal analyzer
Progression Inc. has released the second generation of its Titan CCA coal analyzer.
Using LIBS and MR technologies for online composition analysis, the analyzer has already produced reliable, accurate readings for sulfur, ash, moisture, calorific value, carbon, hydrogen, chlorine and eight ash constituents.
The Gen 2 design has incorporated several lessons learned in the first model. One of the main changes is a redesigned flow path through the analyzer to improve reliability and reduce complexity. The Titan CCA serviceability has also been improved by moving several mechanical sub-systems outside the NEMA 4X enclosures. The unit retains its compact size of approximately 1.1 m x 3 m.
Comments
Progression chairman, Vaughn Davis, commented: “We have been fortunate to have had customers who were willing to give us honest, specific feedback about the Titan CCA product. Their comments, along with input from our strong technical team, have enabled us to rapidly advance the capabilities of the product.”
