On 7 August, America’s Power filed a motion to intervene in the litigation challenging the EPA’s Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
America’s Power issued the following statement by Michelle Bloodworth, President and CEO: “The ACE rule follows the plain language of the Clean Air Act. For this reason, EPA has a very strong legal case in support of the rule.
“While we are confident that EPA will prevail in the courts, we also want to help EPA defend the new rule against others who prefer extreme regulation.”
America’s Power is a partnership of industries involved in producing electricity from coal.
