New flue gas desulfurisation projects in China
Marsulex Environmental Technologies Corp. (MET) has been awarded four flue gas desulfurisation projects in China.
MET will supply four FGD absorbers servicing 540 MW of electricity generation to plants across Shandong Province. Each project will use the company’s open spray tower, wet limestone FGD technology, and will remove over 96% of the power plants’ sulfur dioxide emissions.
The plants in question are the Zibo Qixiang Tenga Chemical plant, the Shandong Wendeng thermal coal-fired power plant, the Linyi Hengyuan, Xiangheteun heat source power plant and the Shandong Heze Elextric power plant.
Robert Cardell, president of MET, said the company was “excited” by the projects and “pleased that the MET wet FGD technology had been selected”.
“We are committed to providing our air pollution control technologies globally to assist clients’ needs worldwide,” Cardell added.
